‘Tis the Season for Giving Back!

Thanksgiving has passed, snow has fallen, and the holiday season is officially in full swing. Our recent #GivingTuesday campaign highlighted the importance of fostering a home for the individuals who live in our residences. Throughout November, we focused on the value of our warm and thoughtful community with stories about our residents and residential staff members. We profiled John P., a friendly and kind resident; chronicled the hard work of the staff at our home on Cornell Road; highlighted the perseverance of staff and resident Dickey during a trying time; and illustrated the value of activities and programs that foster independence, like our First Aid Training.

With November in the rearview mirror and the beginning of December upon us, many people are shifting their focus towards giving back to the community. December is a time to be with family and help those around us who may need it. In that spirit, we are using this holiday season to highlight the countless ways that Triangle program participants give back by volunteering, donating, and sharing their skills. Each Triangle site and home has their own way of helping the community. We will be posting stories on a weekly basis through the end of December, introducing several selfless Triangle program participants.
