Clinical Supports
Triangle, Inc. offers best-in-class clinical supports to individuals of all ages and needs who participate in our adult day services or residential programming across the state of Massachusetts. Triangle’s team of clinicians and abuse prevention specialists provide various programs that ensure participants receive effective and person-centered services while being empowered to live safe and fully engaged lives in their local communities. Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) form the foundation of our teaching skills and are a core method in addressing challenging behaviors.
What is PBS?
PBS is a systematic, person-centered approach to understanding the reasons for behavior and applying evidence-based practices for prevention, proactive intervention, teaching and responding to behavior, with the goal of achieving meaningful social outcomes, increasing learning and enhancing the quality of life across the lifespan. PBS is a three-tiered system that includes Universal Supports, Targeted Supports, and Intensive Supports, as defined in 115 CMR 5.14(5).
Autism
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) presents a unique set of needs that Triangle’s staff addresses on a case-by-case basis. Through training and continuing education, Triangle’s clinical team stays up-to-date on best practices for addressing behaviors associated with ASD.
Behavioral Challenges
Addressing behavioral challenges in a compassionate and positive manner is a critical component of Triangle’s clinical department. Making sure that individuals are supported and all behavioral issues can be mitigated utilizing Positive Behavioral Supports and an Individualized Support Plan is a key part of our daily operation.
Community Mental Health Resources
We understand the importance of addressing every aspect of a person’s health and safety. Our clinical team is connected with local mental health resources to support individuals who may need wraparound support. We offer referrals to address any needs that may come up during a person’s time receiving services at Triangle’s various sites.
Teaching Strategies
Triangle’s clinical support team works closely with our direct care staff to develop creative teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles. Our outside-the-box program curriculum covers a variety of topics, including employment readiness, health, and finances.
Safety CareTM
All Triangle employees that work directly with individuals receiving our programming receive Safety Care™ Training as part of orientation. Safety Care™ is a training program for staff working with children, adolescents, or adults who may exhibit challenging or dangerous behavior. The focus in Safety Care™ is on prevention, safety, and humane, supportive, evidence-based interventions. Employees learn how to prevent many behavioral crises and how to respond if a crisis does happen.
