Goodbye Pearl Street!
As excitement builds in anticipation of the move to our new administrative headquarters and Malden service site later this month, the Triangle community has also been reflecting on our time at our longtime home on Pearl Street. Since 1988, 420 Pearl Street has served as home to Triangle’s largest service site and once boasted a large manufacturing floor that produced a wide variety of projects. Over the years, thousands of Triangle participants have attended programs at Pearl Street.
As Triangle moved towards an integrated approach to programming that emphasized placement into jobs with inclusive employers in our local communities, the building on Pearl Street began to make less sense as the home for the organization. Triangle’s new site – still in Malden on Broadway – will be more equipped to provide modern programming and will serve as a launchpad for our participants to get out and into the community.
Before leaving our longtime Pearl Street home, Triangle held a “Goodbye Pearl Street” gathering in early December for current and former participants, staff members, and family to come share one last evening of (socially distanced) fun, and to get a chance to look around the old building one last time. Check out some photos from the event below!
Be on the lookout in the coming weeks as we share more photos and information on our new site – the first day of programming at the new Triangle HQ will be on Monday, January 24th!
