We are pleased to announce that this year’s Stan Black Leadership Award Winner is Michael McCurdy, Chief Banking Officer at Beacon Financial Corporation. 

Michael McCurdy has been involved with Triangle for nearly 20 years, joining the Board of Directors in 2010 and serving for 12 years, including a term as Board President from 2016-18. During a period of significant growth and transition — including CEO and program leadership changes and the relocation of all Day Services sites to new, purpose-built facilities — Mr. McCurdy was a steady hand and trusted guide. 

Through his personal expertise in law and compliance, and additional guidance from the team at what was then Brookline Bank, Mr. McCurdy helped Triangle leaders navigate both strategic growth and programmatic evolution on sound financial footing and a clear vision. When 2020 arrived and complex pandemic-related funding programs became available as lifelines for human services agencies, Mr. McCurdy once again stepped into a vital role by providing valued guidance, allowing Triangle’s leaders to focus on delivering emergency services at the height of the pandemic.
