A Message from Triangle Board Member, Jessica Black

Published by Zoe Campbell on

Dear Triangle community,

Tonight, we would have come together for our largest annual fundraising event, Celebrate. It is a special time for my family each year as we recognize an inclusive business leader with the Stan Black Award, named for my father who was one of the founders of Triangle in the early 1970s. Along with being a time to “Celebrate” the organization’s history and the accomplishments of people with disabilities, the event is also the single largest generator of donations to Triangle each year.

To help recover lost donations from the canceled event and to help cover other unanticipated funding gaps in state contracts, the organization has established the Fund for Ability. Today, we are not only matching our donation from last year, but increasing it because we know how vital Triangle is to the communities it serves. We ask that you consider a donation of any size as well to help ensure that people with disabilities will continue to receive Triangle’s services today, tomorrow, and long into the future.

As a member of Triangle, Inc.’s Board of Directors, I could not be more proud of the organization’s response to the COVID-19 crisis. Triangle’s services will be needed more than ever on the other side of this crisis. I look forward to seeing you in what I hope is the not-so-distant future.

Sincerely,

Jessica Black
