An Update Regarding Triangle Day Program Suspension and Employee Policies

Published by Coleman Nee on

Before providing a program update, I want to publicly offer my thanks to our dedicated staff for all that they are doing to support individuals in our programs and their families during this difficult period.  While our day program sites are physically closed, Triangle staff members continue to provide support and care for our participants remotely through phone call check-ins, weekly parent/guardian conference calls, and, in our residences, continued care around the clock, every day. I want to express a special thank you to our dedicated Day Program staff members who have eagerly worked in our homes in the past week while their own programs have been suspended. This cross-program partnership is heartening during a difficult time.  Triangle staff members have not retreated – they have sought out new ways to support our individuals.

As of today, March 24, 2020, Triangle has no confirmed cases of COVID-19.  To align ourselves with Gov. Baker’s “Stay-at-home” order that began today, Triangle DDS Day Services Programming will remain suspended until at least April 7th.   Other Triangle programs that have already transitioned to remote and physically-distanced services will also continue to do so through at least April 7th as well. To relieve some of this stress being felt by our staff members, Triangle is committing to paying and supporting all employees during this suspension of services, regardless of programming status.

As we approach April 7th, Triangle’s executive leadership will reassess the reopening of services, per the guidance of state and federal agencies. We will continue to keep our staff members, the individuals in our programs, and our larger Triangle community up to date as we all navigate the coming days and weeks together.
