Malden – Main Street

Triangle, Inc. offers innovative and comprehensive programs that provide greater opportunities for employment, empowerment, independence, and community inclusion for people with disabilities. Our Malden – Main Street office provides adult day services that emphasize our four main programatic themes:

Employment

Adults attending programs at our Malden – Main Street office are given a variety of community-based supported group employment and volunteer opportunities. These jobs pay a competitive wage and allow our participants to build critical employment skills. Participants also get opportunities to give back to their communities by volunteering with non-profits such as Cradles 2 Crayons, the Hope Lodge, and Stoneham Zoo.

Empowerment

While attending Triangle, Inc. programming, individuals are given self-advocacy trainings and individualized support that align with both their professional goals and their personal interests. Participants build personal finance skills through financial literacy classes with local banks and learn about technology through courses designed to help them avoid potential problems on the internet. Triangle, Inc. participants set their own goals and are given choices each day as part of the organization’s day services.

Independence

Triangle, Inc. provides personal safety and wellness courses to each participant through the IMPACT:Ability program. Participants in our programs learn how to navigate their lives with confidence by identifying and avoiding potentially dangerous situations and unhealthy interactions with others. These trainings are critically important for individuals with disabilities, who are up to seven times more likely to experience violence and abuse when compared to their non-disabled peers.

Community

In addition to all of Triangle, Inc.’s employment and volunteer opportunities in the community, participants also receive travel training on the MBTA, and regularly attend social and civic gatherings to stay engaged and active. When they are not working, participants visit local cultural institutions and museums, tour local businesses, visit elected officials, and connect with their communities by volunteering.
