More Info About Charles River Country Club
The Charles River Country Club is home to a historic course that is meticulously maintained with award-winning care. It is a private course – usually requiring the invitation of a member to play. Participating in the tournament is a rare opportunity for golf enthusiasts to have special access to a unique experience all while supporting Triangle’s mission to serve people with disabilities.
Rules and format for the tournament include:
- Bramble Format – each foursome will compete as a team. After each player takes their tee shot, one drive deemed “best” will be the starting point for all players. Each player will then play their own ball for the remainder of the hole.
- To help with competitive balance, we require that each golfer have their drives used a minimum of three times throughout the round
- All tee boxes will be playable, allowing players to play to their own preference and comfort level
- We do not collect handicaps – score cards for each foursome are collected at the end of the tournament at the clubhouse
- Entry into all on-course contests is included with the purchase of a Passport package for $50 – this can be purchased online ahead of the tournament or at registration. The Passport also includes a sleeve of balls, a drink ticket, mulligans, refreshments and a few additional goodies. Contests include longest drive, closest to the pin, and hole-in-one. An additional “bet on yourself” hole and putting contests will also be at the event.
