Announcing the 2023 Honorees at Celebrate: Triangle, Inc.’s Annual Awards Ceremony and Fundraiser

Published by John Kaiser on

Triangle, Inc. is excited to announce that Celebrate: Triangle, Inc.’s Annual Awards Ceremony and Fundraiser will be taking place on Thursday, April 27th. We will be returning to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum to provide a beautiful backdrop for the event. Triangle program participants, residents, staff, partners, and board of directors will be joined by corporate sponsors, donors, elected officials, and our 2023 slate of honorees.

This year, Triangle will be presenting awards to three partners for their outstanding contributions to our mission and the disability community.

The Carmella Gregorie Disability Advocate Award will be presented to Piers Park Sailing Center in recognition of their outstanding adaptive sailing program that makes recreational opportunities on Boston Harbor accessible to people of all abilities. Triangle has a longstanding partnership with Piers Park Sailing Center, who have engaged our residential program each summer over the past five years in a six-week sailing program. Additionally, they have provided recreational opportunities to other Triangle programs and have become a partner on our annual Beach:Ability event at Constitution Beach in East Boston by providing accessible kayaks.

The Stan Black Business Leader Award will be presented to the Rally 2 Give Foundation for their tremendous contributions to organizations supporting both youth and adults with disabilities throughout New England. The Foundation brings together car enthusiasts and business leaders from throughout New England for a series of rallies that raise money for dozens of programs, including Triangle. Founded by the father-son duo of Rick and Matt St. Jean, Rally 2 Give’s vision is to “Connect great people with great things through purpose-driven experiences.” Triangle participants eagerly await the opportunity each fall to join the cars at the launch event of their annual rally, even helping to wave the green flag to kick-off the journey!

Created in 2017, Triangle’s newest annual award is presented to a Public Official who has prioritized and invested their advocacy on supporting Triangle and the larger disability services community. This year, we will be presenting this award to Senator Sal DiDomenico, Assistant Majority Leader for the Massachusetts Senate. Senator DiDomenico has been a fierce ally to Triangle for many years as we support people with disabilities in his home district communities in Boston, Cambridge, Chelsea, and Everett. Notably, he has played a crucial role in advocating for funding for Triangle that annually supports our School to Career program that helps provide vocational training and pre-employment support services to students throughout our service area.

Two additional awards will be presented to Triangle community members at the event. The Ability Award will be presented to a Triangle participant, client, or resident who has made tremendous strides in the past year. The second award will be unique to this year’s ceremony: an Exemplary Service Award will be presented to the entire Residential Services Team in recognition of their unwavering support of our nine residential houses, especially over the past three years when they met the unprecedented challenges of a pandemic and a historic workforce shortage. We look forward to highlighting their commitment to our residents as part of the ceremony.

Sponsorships and ticket packages are available now on our website. Click here to take advantage of a special early bird rate if you purchase your individual tickets before the end of February! We hope you will join us for what promises to be a memorable evening of food, camaraderie, and celebration.
